Metallica on uudelleenmasteroinut klassikkoalbuminsa Kill ‘Em Allin (1983) ja Ride the Lightningin (1984). Molemmat julkaistaan, kuinkas muuten, Record Store Daynä 15. huhtikuuta niin cd:nä, vinyylinä, kuin boksiversiona.
Boksiversioita varten yhtyeen jäsenet ovat kaivelleet henkilökohtaisia arkistojaan, joista on poimittu mukaan niin ennennäkemätöntä kuin -kuulumatonta materiaalia. Metallica-debyytin boksissa on neljä vinyyliä, viisi cd:tä, yksi dvd, kovakantinen kirja ja hihamerkki. Kakkosalbumin boksi koostuu neljästä vinyylistä, kuuudesta cd:stä, yhdestä dvd:stä, kovakantisesta kirjasta, James Hetfieldin lyriikkavihkosta ja kolmesta julisteesta.
Sanomatta lienee selvää, että nämä ovat keräilykamaa ja rajoitettuja painoksia. Yhdellä boksilla näyttäisi olevan hintaa 150 dollaria, eli noin 135 euroa.
